Past and Future ~ 6th June

The Society of Light and Lighting would like to invite STLD members to their event at the Sam Wanamaker Theatre on Tuesday 6th June.

This event differs in several ways from the STLD event at the Sam Wanamaker Theatre around this time last year, with speakers including Martin White, Emeritus Professor of Theatre at the University of Bristol and Historical Consultant to the Royal Shakespeare Company who did the original research into candlelight in theatre environments - and the SLL are having Paul Rudy, the cofounder of the company that invented LEDs, flying in to talk about what will replace conventional LEDs.

The Wanamaker Playhouse's Production Manager, Paul Russell will be on hand to offer members an insight into running the theatre using candlelight extensively.

So, if you're not completely LED-ed out after Showlight, then come along and find out about candlelight, tallow and lime too.

All this from 18:00 at:
The Sam Wanamaker Playhouse
21 New Globe Walk
London SE1 9DT

The event is free but booking is essential, so register with Juliet at the above email
