Our 36th AGM is TODAY


The 36th Annual General Meeting of the Society of Television Lighting and Design (incorporating the Society of TELEVISION LIGHTING DIRECTORS) will take place at 19:00 on the evening of Thursday 11th March 2010 at The Hospital Club, 24 Endell Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9HQ.


Endell Street is to the east of Neal Street, and runs parallel with it - number 24 is on its corner with Shorts Gardens.  Covent Garden Underground Station, on the Piccadilly Line, is just around the corner to the south-west.

The evening's schedule is:

  • 17:00 The Hospital - tour of Studio, control rooms, plus other hidden gems
  • 18:00 Pause for refreshment, with a talk by Lolo Chambovet
  • 18:30 Tours continue
  • 19:00 A.G.M. in the Cinema
  • 20:30 Buffet in the Forest Room

Click here for a larger mapIt promises to be an interesting and varied evening, with tours of our sponsor's technical facilities - their studio was Europe's first high definition TV studio - also included will be a look at some of The Hospital Club's other hidden gems and an entertaining insight into their Creatives In Residence programme by Lolo Chambovet, the Club's Philanthropic Manager. 

So make a note of the date in your STLD diary, and if you'd like to be there then please RSVP to our Secretary - to ensure that we order enough food !  You do want food..., and a drink...., or two..... ?

Before this, during the afternoon, a fortunate few will be taking a look at some of the latest developments at the Royal Opera House WC2E 9DD, taking in the visualisation suite and the TV gallery.

We will be meeting at around 15:15 for this optional tour so that things can go ahead at 15:45 and numbers will need to be strictly limited - so please email Bernie Davis to see if there's space left on it
