grandPA invests in MA2

9 July 2009

grandPA – Programming Associates has kicked off a busy summer with the arrival of its newest lighting control investment of a grandMA2 Lite.  The grandPA’s decided on buying the “lite” version as it is more manageable for freelancers to use on a daily basis transport wise and is also the equivalent of a series 1 fullsize console. This new arrival to the fleet was whisked away on the same day it arrived by lighting company Siyan for a four week tour with The Killers starting in Hyde Park.

The company is also proud to announce that they have added a further grandMA series 1  Fullsize and a grandMA Lite to the hire inventory for this busy summer period.
“Demand for MA consoles is at a peak this summer and we have tried to invest where possible even under this stormy financial period, we are proud to have consoles currently on tour with Madonna, The Killers and down on the ever running Big Brother.” says Tim Routledge co-founder of  grandPA. “MA consoles have now firmly established themselves as the console of choice for both flexibility, reliability and capability, be it tv, theatre or concert touring. No other console is able to achieve the results the grandma offers.”

The companies agency wing “grandPA -  Programming Associates” is also extremely busy this Summer with their programmers working on shows such as the Take That Circus Live DVD at Wembley Stadium, Madonna’s Sticky and Sweet Tour, Girls Aloud Live DVD at the o2 and a large installation show project in China. Pryderi Baskeville, the companies other founder, commented “We are striving to provide the very best in programmers and programming worldwide, we have found that there is very much a demand for quick, efficient and more importantly programming with artistic flair and we aim to provide this every time for our clients”. “We always match the right person to the style of show and make sure that if its a broadcast event or concert/touring that they have the relevant experience”.
