Meet The Martins At Pinewood - Live & Streamed - 24th November 2021

The STLD committee are delighted to members to our first hybrid meeting: the first proper face-to-face meeting we have been able to arrange since lockdown over eighteen months ago; which will also be live-streamed on YouTube & Zoom. The meeting will be at Pinewood Studios on 24th November on the set of the BBC sitcom ‘Not Going Out’.

This award-winning comedy has been running for 13 years now, and was lit by one of the best TV sitcom Lighting Directors Martin Kempton up to 2019 when he retired. That role has been taken over by another Lighting Director equally famous for his lighting of comedy programmes, Martin Hawkins. For our meeting the two Martins will discuss their individual approaches to lighting the same set, and sitcoms in general.
We are planning to stream the meeting as well for those unable to get to Pinewood that day, and details of that will be circulated nearer the day.
The meeting will start at 7.00 pm and please be aware that Pinewood is a very busy and active studio complex so getting parked and finding the studio can take a while. We will also be complying with any Covid safety protocols in place at the time.
If you would like to attend please contact us at the address below to get included on the security list. Further details will then be sent to you, but please do not turn up without registering first as you will not get in.
We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at this meeting which promises to be a wonderful occasion.
Please click here to email Bernie Davis if you would like to join us on 24th November stating if you want to be there in person or if you would like to watch the streamed meeting.
